Bloc Party's Kele Okereke: "I hope I haven't been fired"

Kele Okereke, the frontman of Bloc Party, has admitted that he's unsure of his career in the group after catching sight of some of his bandmates heading into a recording studio without him.

Speaking to NME, he explained that he caught fellow Bloc Party stars Russell, Matt and Gordon walking into a "rehearsal space" and he had no idea they were even meeting up as he wasn't told about it:

"I was actually having lunch about three weeks ago, just here on 8th Avenue and I saw somebody walk past and I recognised the haircut. It was Russell. I was like, 'Hey!' but he didn't see me and I followed him around the corner and then I saw Matt, Gordon and Russell all standing outside this rehearsal space. They all went inside."

"I hope I haven't been fired. I don't really know what's going on, because we haven't really spoken recently and I'm a bit too scared to ask."

Although he seems to be out of the 'Banquet' rockers' loop, Okereke is set to release his new solo album on October 31 and you can watch his video for 'Tenderoni' here:
