Blur to reconnect for Christmas drinks and possibly new music

Blur's Alex James has revealed that he will take time off from cheese making over the holidays to reconnect with his old band mates and even possibly record new music with them.

The star told NME that the lads thought it would be great to meet up for a "Christmas drink" and he hopes the rendezvous will in turn lead to a studio session:

"We're getting together for a Christmas drink next week which is nice. We still see each other all the time, more since we were all living out of a suitcase. We'll probably record again."

Despite these exciting new plans to lay down some tracks, James added that he doubts Blur will release a new 'full' album because the pressure of producing 12 songs is a little too much so an EP would be more suitable:

"Is there such a thing as an album? Does music have to come 12 tracks at a time?"
