The Pixies brand new studio album Beneath the Eyrie has landed at number seven on the UK Official Albums chart, their first record released via BMG.

Boasting 12 new songs, Beneath the Eyrie was written in December 2018, where the band recorded at Dreamland Studios near Woodstock, NY with producer Tom Dalgety.

For the recording of the album, Pixies opted to shine a bright - and rare - light on the process, to document every moment of what took place in the studio for a 12-episode podcast titled "It's a Pixies Podcast." The podcast welcomes fans to witness the evolution of the album's tracks, from their earliest stages to completion.

The rock band known for their “loud-quiet” structures has released seven studio albums since forming in 1985, including the now-Platinum-certified Doolittle, released in1989. The Pixies have been acclaimed as the most influential, pioneering band of the late 80s alt/rock movement, having blazed the trail for artists from Nirvana to Radiohead to Pearl Jam.
