Award-winning, singer-songwriter, Ledisi has dropped her soulful new album, The Wild Card via BMG. The first single, ‘Anything for You’ (released earlier this spring with its accompanying video), is now in the Top 5 on the R&B charts. Previously, a duet of the song with Maroon 5’s P.J. Morton debuted on July 31. Female rapper SaRoc joins Ledisi in the album’s newly released single ‘Wake Up’, perfectly fitting for all of us during these difficult times.

The entire album is a labor of love with long-time collaborator, Rex Rideout, and features songs that are imbued with empowerment and inspiration that speak to all of humanity as the world grapples with the pandemic. Ledisi’s music is steeped in the tradition of soul music which provides a much-needed salve.

With a career that has spanned over two decades, Ledisi has received 12 Grammy nominations, earned three Soul Train Music Awards, one NAACP Theater Awards and six NAACP Image awards. She has also starred in film, TV and theatrical productions portraying the great Mahalia Jackson in the award-winning film, Selma. Most recently, she played Patti LaBelle on BET’s series, American Soul. In addition, she is a published author.
