ARIA award-winning band DZ Deathrays have signed an exclusive global publishing deal with BMG.

The signing comes after the release of the group’s recent single ‘Fired Up’ and the announcement that their upcoming album Positive Rising: Part 2 will be released on 9 July 2021.

On signing with BMG, DZ Deathrays said, “We're very excited to join the BMG team and all the other great acts on their roster. We're really looking forward to seeing what new ideas they bring to the table and are very grateful for the support they have shown us so far”.

Heath Johns, BMG Australia Managing Director, said, “DZ is an incredible live band with undeniable energy and hooks for days. We are so pleased to have BMG join their wonderful team and we look forward to making lots of noise together as part of this new global publishing relationship. ‘Positive Rising: Part 2’ is on another level and we can’t wait to help share it with the world”.

Since forming in 2008, DZ Deathrays have released four studio albums. Their debut album, Bloodstreams (2012), won the AIR Award for Best Independent Hard Rock or Punk Album and the ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album. The band's sophomore album Black Rat (2014) earned the trio their second ARIA Award, whilst the third, Bloody Lovely (2018), peaked at number four on the ARIA album charts. The band have toured extensively overseas and have played prestigious festivals including Reading and Leeds, Splendour In The Grass, The Great Escape and St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival.
