UK: Lewis Capaldi dominates 2021 ASCAP London Music AwardsOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY BMG The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) has announced the winners of the 2021 ASCAP London Music Awards on October 19. The virtual event celebrates the continuing success of British artists in the US. BMG songwriter Lewis Capaldi dominated results, winning a total of four awards. Capaldi was named Songwriter of the Year following the success of his Platinum-certified global hit singles ‘Someone You Loved’ and ‘Before You Go’ from his acclaimed album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent. ‘Someone You Loved’ also earned him awards in the categories Song of The Year and Top Streaming Song. Additionaly, Lewis Capaldi scored a Winning Hot 100 Song award with ‘Before You Go’. Pete Glenisters, BMG writer who contributed to Black Eyed Peas and J Balvin's smash hit ‘RITMO’ (Bad Boys for Life), received two awards in the categories Top Hot Dance/Electronic Song and Winning Hot 100 Song.
