BR: Henrique & Diego sign global recordings deal with BMG

(L to R): Henrique, Daniel Mansur (BMG), Jasmina Zammit (BMG), Diego, Danielle Lage (BMG)

One of the most renowned Sertanejo artists of the last 15 years, Henrique & Diego have signed a global recordings agreement with BMG. The duo is responsible for smash hits including ‘Suite 14’, ‘Raspão’, ‘Malbec’, ‘Senha Do Celular’, and ‘Espelho Meu’.

Sertanejo has its origins in the countryside of Brazil in the 1920s. Today, it’s the most played music genre on Brazilian radio, constantly topping the Brazilian music charts. Música Sertaneja albums have been granted a specific category at the Latin Grammy Awards.

The signing marks a significant step for BMG’s operations in Brazil as the team is officially putting their feet in this important market on the recorded side, while already representing the publishing of relevant Sertanejo catalogues.

Daniel Mansur, BMG Senior A&R Manager Brazil said: “We are very happy to be working with Henrique & Diego on their upcoming projects. They have all the qualities that characterize great artists: Talent, dedication, and an incredible ability to innovate and reinvent themselves with each release. They are an experienced duo, one of the greatest we have in the country and have released several hits in their 15-year career. They have gained a lot of respect in the market and the public, and they draw crowds wherever they go, so it was very natural for BMG to choose them as the first Sertanejo (country music) duo of the label, thus starting our work with the most popular genre in Brazil. We are very confident that together we will write another successful chapter in the duo's history."

Currently, Henrique & Diego managed by Live Talentos, one of the main offices in Brazil, owned by Wilson Anastácio and Guga Pereira, who also represent artists including Chitãozinho & Xororó, Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano, Edson & Hudson, and more.
