In collaboration with the Arrow estate, BMG’s UK team has given the 40-year-old anthem ‘Hot Hot Hot’ a TikTok-era makeover, delivering it a star billing in a new ad for Easyjet and Doritos.

‘Hot Hot Hot’ is a part of the Chrysalis catalogue and has had numerous Synch placements over the years. Featured on Montserratian artist Arrow's 1982 album of the same name, 'Hot Hot Hot' peaked at 59 on the UK Singles Chart and became a staple of the Soca genre.

To draw attention to the original recording and support an upcoming Best Of album, BMG commissioned Atomic Drum Assembly to remix the classic. Sure enough, the revamped ‘Hot Hot Hot’ secured a synch opportunity within days of delivery.

Joe Innes, BMG, Junior Manager, Sync Creative Licensing UK, said: “’Hot Hot Hot’ is one of those rare, instantly recognisable bangers that has stood the test of time and taken on a true life of its own. With its simple feel-good message and catchy lyrics, it can’t help but make you smile. With the remix picked up for this commercial and the original multitrack recordings getting remastered, the project has been a great success. This project has led to two further possible synchs internationally, which will generate significant revenue and give the track plenty more opportunities.”

'Hot Hot Hot' has taken on a life of its own in the 40 years since its release. Despite numerous remixes, seven cover versions, and sample features in over a dozen songs, the song has remained a fresh and untired gem.

This placement adds to the song's already illustrious history while creating a zeitgeist-ready remix set to appear on the upcoming Best Of compilation, just in time for summer.

The project creative was led by Joe Innes with the negotiation handled by Mark Levin, Senior Director, Sync Commercial & Creative, UK, and Joe Betts, Senior Director, Sync Licensing, UK. Heather de Allende, Assistant Manager, Legal & Business Affairs, UK handled legal, and Andy Lewis, Director, Release Management, UK is the lead on the Arrow catalogue and the Best Of project.
