Multi-Platinum selling pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer have released their long-awaited new studio album titled 5SOS5 via BMG. It’s their first new album since signing with BMG in October 2021 – their first new label home since the release of their debut album. Additionally, the pop-rock group has released its new single 'Bad Omens'.

The majority of the 19-track album was written by the band and co-written by Jason Evigan (Maroon 5, Dua Lipa), Jon Bellion (Justin Bieber, Halsey), Pete Nappi (GAYLE, Madison Beer), and Mick Coogan (Charlotte Lawrence, Carlie Hanson). Michael Clifford led on production. 5SOS5 showcases the band’s multi-faceted artistry and growth over their 10-year career.

The release of 5SOS5 included their brand-new single “Bad Omens’’ as well as the previously released tracks 'Blender', 'Take My Hand' and 'Me, Myself & I' which gave fans an eagerly awaited preview of what to expect from the album.

In an episode of the MTV News documentary series “The Method” band member Michael Clifford said, “In the past, whenever we had gone to make music, it was us going in with someone else and letting them drive the ship. But this time, it was awesome to see each other grow and where we’re all at now musically as musicians, writers, and people. It was a beautiful process.”

Named by the Guardian as one of the most successful acts in Australian music history, 5 Seconds of Summer have constantly evolved in the last ten years. From covering popular songs on YouTube during their high school years to their rise as major label stars releasing studio albums.
