Songwriter and producer Luis Cruz, also known as Lucry, has entered into an exclusive publishing partnership with BMG. The Berlin native with Cuban roots is one of the most renowned producers in the German hip-hop and pop landscape.

Lucry started his career as an artist in his early teens. At age 16, he released his first single 'Ayayay', which is characterized by reggaetón sounds. Since then, he has expanded his musical style to a broad spectrum and is co-responsible for some of the biggest and most successful productions in the German hip-hop, rap, and pop scene. Lucry has celebrated numerous chart successes through his collaborations with artists such as Apache 207, Céline, Capital Bra, and Prinz Pi.

On signing with BMG, Lucry said: "I'm looking forward to working with BMG and the new paths we're going to take."

Lucry, along with producer and songwriter Suena, was awarded GEMA's German Music Authors Award for the most successful work of 2020 and 2021 twice in a row for the track 'Roller' (2019) from Apache 207. 'Roller' became Apache 207's first Number One hit, reached diamond status, and became the most streamed German song in 2019.

In 2022, Lucry and Suena were again awarded by GEMA for their work, this time in the category Hip-Hop composition. As a producer duo, they have generated over 1.6 billion streams to date.

Recently, Capital Bra released the single '0Uhr26' produced by Lucry and Suena. Further single collaborations of the duo are already in the pipeline.
