Ronan Keating admits he is "nervous" at going solo again

Ronan Keating has admitted that he is a "little bit nervous" about returning to his solo career.

The Boyzone man is currently working on his first solo album in five years after being busy reuniting the Irish boyband.

It had been reported that Keating's new material was edging towards a "folk" sound, but Keating told Bang Showbiz that it's becoming a bit more of a mixed bag. He said:

"It's not folk. It's a mix! It's a pop album. Gregg Alexander and I are working together again. It's got that 'Life is a Rollercoaster' feel again. I'm having fun with it again, it's been five years since I've done a studio album. I'm a little bit nervous. I just want to make a great record, for me, rather than for anyone else."

Keating also confirmed that plans are afoot for Boyzone to celebrate their impending 20th anniversary next year. He added: "Next year Boyzone will be 20 years gone, so we'll be doing something."
