Ronan Keating has opened up on his family life following his marriage split.

The Boyzone singer announced last month that he was breaking up with his wife after 14 years together - a union which produced three children.

Speaking to The Sun, Keating talked family and suggested that his children - who range from six years old to 13 years old - are helping him through his tough split. He said:

"My kids are my light. You know you can pick up the phone at any time wherever you are in the world, if they're awake, and speak to them and they lift your spirits. They see life so differently. I don't know when we become adults and when we lose all of that. But, Christ, I wish I still had what my kids have - it's an amazing thing."

He added: "They're doing great. It's very important that we keep things as normal as possible around them. That way it's a normal household - as best we can anyway."
