Britney Spears has given $120,000 (£78,000) to a US children's charity.

Over the last year, the singer has reserved $1 (65p) from every ticket sold for her Piece of Me Las Vegas show for the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Spears has now given the charity over $120,000 to the good cause.

She commented: "I'm so happy I've partnered with Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, and really enjoy raising awareness for this amazing cause.

"Their mission is to improve the quality of life for critically ill children, and they have been doing beautiful things for so many families.

"I love the positive effect these guys are having on the Las Vegas community. It makes my second home a better place."

Spears meanwhile recently confirmed that she would be extending her Las Vegas residency for another two years.
