Britney joins anti-bullying campaign

Britney Spears has joined an anti-bullying campaign after being invited to represent the cause by the President of the United States of America.

She revealed the news to fans on Twitter late last night, March 9, and wrote:

"Anti bullying is an issue very close to my heart. I am honored that President Obama & the First Lady asked me to join this campaign. -Brit"

"#StopBullyingNow"

The 'Hold It Against Me' singer also posted a link to a video recorded by the Obamas about the cause, in which they explain:

"Michelle and I are hosting an important meeting at the White House on Thursday. We want you to be a part of it. We'll be talking with students, teachers and parents about how to stop bullying, and about the responsibility each of us has to make sure our children treat each other with respect."

"This isn't an issue that makes headlines every day, but it affects every single young person in our country."
