Britney Spears has suggested that she will be unleashing new music soon.

The singer has been working on the follow-up to 2011 record 'Femme Fatale' for months and excitement among fans is building.

They regularly express their frustration on social networking website Twitter about the lack of forthcoming new tunes, however, with the slogan 'We Are Ready Britney' recently trending.

Responding to one fan about the wait for new music today (August 14), Spears replied:

"Patient kiddies! It's coming MUCH sooner than you think ;)."

Collaborator will.i.am meanwhile recently called one of Spears' new songs "out of this world" on Twitter, proclaiming:

"The song @britneyspears did with #williamORBIT is fabulous and out of this world... #THEbritneyARMYwillBEproud."
