Britney Spears has revealed that she could perform in the UK in the future.

The superstar singer is due to unleash her eighth album 'Britney Jean' on December 3, but her only live plans come in the shape of a two-year Las Vegas residency.

However, she told Capital FM that there could be the opportunity for some concerts in the UK, as well as some other countries. Spears said:

"There is a possibility for me to come back and do the UK and maybe Australia, Japan and a couple of places."

The singer's Piece of Me Las Vegas residency meanwhile is due to kick off at Planet Hollywood on December 27.

She is expected to perform around 50 shows a year as she mixes up some of her greatest hits with new tracks.

Spears last performed the UK in 2011 as she brought her Femme Fatale tour to the country for a series of arena shows.

She is set to precede her new album in Britain meanwhile with the release of single 'Work Bitch' on November 3.
