Britney Spears on new single 'Perfume': "I think the story is relatable to everyone"

Britney Spears has revealed the next release to be taken from her forthcoming album ‘Britney Jean’.

‘Perfume’ is the title of the follow-up to the American star’s current single, ‘Work Bitch’.

Talking about ‘Perfume’ to E! News Online, Britney said of the ballad:

“‘Perfume’ is incredibly special to me because it hits close to home, and I think the story is relatable to everyone.”

She continued: “Everyone's been through an insecure moment in a relationship that's left them vulnerable and I think this song captures that.”

The track was written by Britney, Sia and Chris Braide – the latter of which has labelled the emotional song “effortlessly iconic”.

Britney has already made the single’s artwork available to fans (see image below) and has also given them a taste of the lyrics with the lines:

“Yeah, I want it all over you/And while I wait, I put on my perfume/Have you been thinking about her, or about me?/So I wait for you to call and I try to act natural.”

‘Perfume’ is set to be debuted later today (November 3) on Britney’s official Facebook page.
