Pop icon Britney Spears is due to release her highly anticipated eighth studio album, entitled 'Britney Jean', early next month, but the record has already found its way onto the internet. 

It's scheduled to be officially released on December 3, but has now leaked and the 'Till The World Ends' superstar took to her Twitter page this morning (November 20) to address the situation. She wrote:

"To those of you listening to the leaks... I hope you love... I made this album specifically for my diehard fans so I'm just hoping every song touches you because each one is a piece of me."

She is also currently shooting the music video (pictured below) for her next single, 'Perfume', with Joseph Kahn (Spears' 'Toxic') and told her followers that it's shaping up to be a great project despite being in the early stages:

"So stoked to be working w/@JosephKahn again. We've had a lot of success together & there is nobody I trust more w/this super personal song. Wrapped day 1 w/ @JosephKahn! So far SOOO good..."

The release of 'Britney Jean' will be followed by a Las Vegas residency, which is due to begin on December 27 at the Planet Hollywood resort and the beauty recently joked that rehearsals for it have been exhausting: "When you tour, it’s so hard on the body. I look back and I don’t know how I did it. I have not been this sore in my entire life."
