Britney Spears has given an unsuspecting fan the shock of his life after serving him food for an ITV show.

The pop princess is due to appear on Surprise, Surprise tonight (December 18) in the UK and it seems set to be a heartwarming affair.

27-year-old fan James Colbourn was nominated by his sister to appear on the show as a thank you for the support he has given her ever since her young twins were diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

He was ultimately picked for the programme and was invited along to London's Savoy Hotel for some tea and cakes.

However, Colbourn didn't know that Spears herself would be serving up the tasty treats - much to his shock.

The show meanwhile features Holly Willoughby and Marvin Humes, whilst Olly Murs and Cher are due to perform live.
