Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga confirmed for 'Saturday Night Live'

The new series of Saturday Night Live began on October 3 with a live performance from The Weeknd, and new artists have now been lined up for future episodes.

Hitmaker Bruno Mars, who returned to music this week with a new song called "24k Magic", will take the stage of the popular late-night show on October 15 and "Perfect Illusion" superstar Lady Gaga will perform live on October 22, which is just one day after the release of her highly anticipated new album Joanne.

Gaga recently told Britain's The Mirror newspaper what inspired her new record: "When you listen to the album, it's clear the influence that all the men in my life have made on this record. That's at the middle of it, as well: I always wanted to be a good girl. And Joanne was such a good girl. I'm figuring out all of those relationships in my life through the music, and going very deeply into it."

Bruno Mars, meanwhile, has been working on new music with Skrillex, who suggested that the new material is unique during an interview with Billboard. He said:

"I'm actually working with Bruno Mars right now. I'm not going to give specifics of what it sounds like, but what we're doing is so f--king different, awesome and next level and sounds like nothing else that's happened before. Every time I get in the studio with somebody else and collaborate, that's when I always have revelations and learn about stuff."
