Bruno Mars dominates Ireland's singles chart

Singer-songwriter Bruno Mars has stormed straight to the top of the Irish singles chart, ending Matt Cardle's four week reign.

Mars' sophomore release, 'Grenade', has already made it to number 1 in America and entered the UK midweek chart at the top spot. His success has now been furthered as he celebrates this new victory.

'Grenade' will officially enter the UK chart this Sunday, January 16 and is expected to stay in the much-coveted number 1 position until then.

Mars will also appear at London's Cafe De Paris on January 24 to launch his debut album, 'Doo Wops and Hooligans', and last night (January 13) was nominated for a BRIT award in the International Breakthrough Act category.
