Bruno Mars thanks fans after death of mother
Bruno Mars has spoken publicly for the first time since the death of his mother.
As previously reported, the music maestro suffered heartbreak at the weekend (June 1) when 55-year-old Bernadette Hernandez passed away after suffering a brain aneurysm.
A host of music stars showed their support for Mars, with Rihanna tweeting:
"Sending my love and condolences to @BrunoMars at this difficult time! I'm sincerely praying for you bro! #1Love."
The 'Grenade' man has now thanked his fans for their "love" throughout the whole ordeal, posting on Twitter:
"So thankful for all the love during the most difficult time in my life. I'll be back on my feet again soon. That's what mom wants, she told me."
Mars meanwhile is due to tour North America from June 22, with the singer's worldwide schedule running through to March next year.
