Calvin Harris was forced to pull out of a live DJ set recently due to food poisoning.

The Scottish star and Armani model was scheduled to appear at the dayclub Wet Republic Ultra Pool in Las Vegas over the weekend but was unable to fulfil his obligation after falling ill.

The ‘Summer’ hitmaker took to Twitter to explain his absence and apologise.

Calvin wrote: “I've got the worst food poisoning I've ever experienced... I'm really really sorry anyone who was coming to see me in Vegas this weekend...”

The 31-year-old DJ also went into detail about his symptoms:

“It's one of those heart racing/burning up/cold sweats/shaking/projectile vomiting situations... so (it is) not possible to play any shows... Sorry.”

However, Calvin Harris will begin a series of resident DJ gigs at Las Vegas mega club Hakkasan on May 2.
