32-year-old DJ and producer Calvin Harris was briefly hospitalised on Friday, May 20 after he was involved in a minor car accident. 

TMZ reports that Harris, whose real name is Adam Wiles, was being driven to a Los Angeles-area airport in a Cadillac SUV when it was hit by a Volkswagen Beetle convertible. 

A statement was posted to Harris's official Facebook page, which reads: "Adam's transport was involved in a collision this evening on the way to the airport. As a result he will be unable to perform at Omnia tonight. He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days."

In April, Harris told On Air With Ryan that he doubts he will ever collaborate with girlfriend Taylor Swift, but they haven't actually ever discussed the matter: "You know, we haven't even spoken about it. I can't see it happening though. No. She's about to take a long break.
