Calvin Harris & Florence Welch’s 'Sweet Nothing' debuts at UK No.1

Calvin Harris & Florence Welch’s ‘Sweet Nothing’ has today debuted at No.1 on the UK singles chart.

The Scottish DJ’s fourth chart-topper comfortably outsold its nearest rival, Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child,’ to repeat the success of their previous collaboration, ‘Spectrum (Say My Name).’

PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ and Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’ remained at No.3 and No.4 respectively, Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ dropped to No.5, while Lawson’s ‘Standing In The Dark’ entered the charts at No.6.

Elsewhere, there were new entries for Rebecca Ferguson’s ‘Backtrack’ (No.15), Justin Bieber's 'Beauty And A Beat' (No.20), Tyler James’ ‘Single Tear’ (No.28), Jake Bugg's 'Two Fingers' (No.33), Taylor Swift's 'State Of Grace' (No.36), Everything Everything's 'Cough Cough' (No.37) and John Denver's 'Annie's Song' (No.38) and climbs for Maroon 5’s ‘One More Night’ (No.8) and Disclosure’s ‘Latch' (No.17).
