Legendary music icon, Céline Dion has wowed audiences across Europe this summer, playing to sell-out crowds and garnering rave reviews for her CÉLINE DION LIVE 2017 Tour - her first European tour in over eight years.  Celine played 25 shows in 15 cities across the UK and Europe, with the final show having taken place in Glasgow on 5 August.

It can now be revealed that Céline Dion has broken records across the UK - making history as the highest grossing artist at each UK venue she has performed at, including The O2 in London, Leeds’ first direct arena, Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena and the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.  All UK shows were promoted by Marshall Arts Ltd, AEG Presents and Concerts West.

Dion’s four shows at The O2 made her their highest-grossing female performer of 2017, selling more tickets than any other show. Her June show at the Leeds first direct arena was the fifth highest grossing individual event to date there, and her August show broke the record for the venue. Her two dates in Birmingham, UK, generated the two highest single night gross takings in history at the venue. The date on 27 July was the highest ever at the venue; the return date on 3 August grossed the second highest. Her Glasgow show made history again as the highest individual gross for sales revenue at the SSE Hydro.

One of the most successful and widely respected female performers in music history, Céline’s return to Europe this summer was the first since her 2008 “Taking Chances’’ World Tour, which became the second highest-grossing tour by a solo artist.

19 September will see the star continue her outstanding Las Vegas residency, which saw her reach an epic 1,000 performances in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace last October. Her first Las Vegas residency, A New Day…, was a groundbreaking production that was seen by over three million fans, spanning all seven continents and 138 countries. After taking a three-year break from Las Vegas, Céline made a triumphant return in 2011 with her second residency simply titled, Céline, which features an impressive 31-piece band and orchestra.
