Cheryl 'so proud' of record-breaking No.1

Cheryl says she is "so proud" of landing a record-breaking fifth No.1 single.

The singer achieved the feat on Sunday (November 9) when 'I Don't Care' topped the list.

This meant that Cheryl became the British female recording artist with the most amount of No.1 singles in history.

She usurped Rita Ora and Geri Halliwell, who both have four.

Speaking on Twitter after the announcement, Cheryl said:

"So it is official! Today you got me my 5th no 1 solo single!! You will stop at nothing &We did it !! WE MADE HISTORY!!!!

"Thank you to all of you from the bottom of my [heart] for all of your support and congrats but this one is all YOURS !!!!! #havingamoment. Wow what a roller coaster of a day! I am so happy and proud of us for achieving the no1 and place in history today."
