Cheryl on upcoming election: 'I need to have a really well-informed opinion'

Cheryl has revealed that she might vote against the Labour Party at the upcoming general election.

The singer told the Telegraph that she has traditionally voted for the political party all of her life.

However, the Geordie said that she is contemplating changing her allegiance ahead of the big vote on May 7.

The proposed 'mansion tax', which is supported by Labour, could see Cheryl pay even more tax.

Cheryl said: "I’ve always been Labour all my life but I want to hear what they’ve got to say for myself. Now that I’m a mature woman.

"I feel like a greater responsibility now to vote for who runs our country. And I pay a f***ing lot of tax. So I think that I need to have a really well-informed, well-educated opinion."

Cheryl meanwhile released her latest album 'Only Human' last year.
