Cheryl Cole, who was recently confirmed as a judge for the U.S version of X Factor, has explained she's not at all concerned about how her accent will be received by Americans. 

Speaking to BBC's Newsbeat, the 'Promise This' hitmaker revealed she's never had a problem with being understood in the States yet:

"Americans can always understand me."

She also said that accepting the lucrative position was a "big commitment for me because I've kind of stepped out of my comfort zone and left the UK" and is a daunting prospect:

"You know, everything's really new for me and quite scary, so it took me a long time to get my head around being asked. I had two minutes to just go and do it."
