Will.i.Am supports Cheryl's 'The Voice' performance, says "she wasn't miming"

Following Cheryl Cole's stunning performance on The Voice UK over the weekend, reports surfaced suggesting she had mimed and now Will.i.Am has spoken out about her live rendition of 'Call My Name'.

The Black Eyed Peas superstar, who is a panelist on the popular vocal talent show, told London's Metro newspaper that the songstress obviously put her all into the performance and she definitely didn't mime over a backing track:

"I was there. She wasn't miming. I didn't know she was jumping on stage until she did. I thought it was dope."

When asked about Cole's chance of conquering America with her forthcoming new album, 'A Million Lights', he explained: "America's a weird place right now, in terms of breaking."

"I don't know who is breaking America right now. We never broke America till after. You gotta break around the world. As an American act, why am I doing a show in the UK if I care about breaking America?"
