Cheryl Cole declares her music career is her number one priority

Cheryl Cole has declared that her music career is now her number one priority.

The Girls Aloud star, who is set to chart at number one later today with ‘Call My Name,’ told the Daily Mirror that she’s relieved she no longer has to juggle recording and performing with any TV commitments.

Referring to her stint on The X-Factor, she said: “Back then the music always played second fiddle to everything else in my life, so this time it’s great to have the music as my number one priority.

“Being a judge on X Factor and having a record out at the same time was insane. They were two massive jobs on their own. It’s good to not have to spread myself too thin this time.”

The 28-year-old, who this week announced her first ever solo arena tour, also confirmed that she would never return to a talent show judging panel again:

“No. I just wouldn’t. The next year is mapped out. It’s all about music... I’m not interested in anything else. I want to concentrate only on that.”
