Cheryl refutes interview walkout reports

Cheryl has responded to claims that she walked out of an interview with the BBC.

The Mirror had reported via an unnamed source that the Girls Aloud singer ended an interview with BBC Three early after what was said to be an odd line of questioning.

The newspaper said that Cheryl was repeatedly asked "Why are we here?", much to the Geordie's reported bemusement.

However, she took to Twitter today (June 27) to refute the reports, saying:

"Fyi.. I have never walked out of an interview in my career. I had to be reminded of what your even referring to.. Stop telling lies lol."
