Cheryl Cole is set to release an autobiography later this year, it has been confirmed.

Publisher HarperCollins announced the news today (July 6) via Twitter.

They said that the book will be released in the autumn, calling the singer "beautiful and talented" in the process. They said:

"HUGE news! This autumn we're publishing the 100% official autobiography of the beautiful and talented @Cherylcole #CantwaitforCherylsBook!"

As previously reported, Cheryl recently revealed that she feared the worst after her plane got caught up in a storm in Germany.

Her plane was grounded on the runway in the middle of a lightning storm before eventually taking off.
