Cheryl Cole admits calling Prince Charles by the wrong name at first meeting

Cheryl Cole has admitted that she got her royal family etiquette a bit skewed when she first met Prince Charles.

The singer has enjoyed links with the British royal after the Cheryl Cole Foundation began to work in partnership with the Prince's Trust.

Speaking to Grazia, Cole said that when she first had tea with the Prince she managed to fluff up her etiquette when addressing him.

However, Prince Charles seemingly took it in good humour and "couldn't stop laughing". She said:

"The first time I had tea with him at Clarence House, I had an etiquette lesson on how to address him. But I forgot to say Prince and just called him Charles, which was embarrassing and someone started coughing at my mistake behind me to correct me. But he couldn't stop laughing."
