Cheryl Cole has dashed any possibility of Olympic diver Tom Daley ever dating her.

As previously reported, Daley - who won a bronze medal in the men's 10m platform event at London 2012 - admitted something of a crush on Cole.

However, the 18-year-old believed that he didn't have the courage and confidence to ask her out.

It seems though that he doesn't need to ask anyway - as he's too young for Cole. When asked by Capital FM about dating Daley, the 'Call My Name' singer said:

"I mean, if I was ten years younger then probably!"

Speaking about his London 2012 bronze medal win, Cole added:

"Him winning the medal and all that was really good for our country."
