Cheryl Cole overwhelmed with tattoo artist's oil painting of her

Girls Aloud beauty Cheryl Cole has been immortalised on canvas by the tattoo artist responsible for the huge roses that cover her lower back and bottom.

Nikko Hurtado created the piece and told his fans that he wanted to experiment with mediums other than tattooing: "For anyone wondering where I've been. I've just been painting a lot trying to get things done. I will be back soon to tattooing. But feels nice to work on a different medium for now."

She shared a snap of the piece of art, which appears to be titled 'Glitz and Glamour', via her official Instagram page earlier today (September 13) and accompanied it with the caption:

"I feel so honoured to have been made into this incredible oil painting by such a talented and gifted artist @nikkohurtado. His work begs belief #thankyou 👼"

The painting will be shown as part of Hurtado's solo exhibition, called Renati, in Los Angeles next month.
