The songs on the record reflect the feelings, emotions and experiences I was going through during this time. 2020 looked like it was going to be my biggest year yet recording more songs and playing live gigs, however COVID-19 had different plans for us all. Playing live is essential for artists, and as a songwriter my live performances give me the opportunity to share the stories that have inspired each song. It allows me to set the mood for people to be able to relate to what I’m singing about. I believe music is lyrical scripture and I try, with every song I write, to help people through certain periods of their lives. On my return to the USA, and with the UK slowly opening back up, I thought it was only right for me to re-release my EP “What Don’t Kill You”. With things moving towards a somewhat ‘new normal’, I want to tell you all about the stories behind these songs; I want you to feel and relate to the lyrics and most of all I want you to join me on my journey from Scotland to the home of country music which is of course, Nashville. I have a lot of exciting things planned and I want to take you along with me. Let’s make 2021 a year to remember, and hey, “What Don’t Kill You, makes you stronger”!
