Chris Brown slams GRAMMY Awards: 'It used to mean something'

R&B sensation Chris Brown has posted a series of tweets slamming the GRAMMYs, despite the fact that nominations were announced back in December 2015.

The 'Forever' hitmaker took to his official Twitter account to criticise the awarding body and told followers that while it used to be an important ceremony, it no longer holds the same importance:

"#GRAMMY? This is probably the main reason I love being free to create any kind of music I want. Too many people kiss a** and work less. If u (sic) turn on ya radio right now I promise within the hour you will hear Chris Brown on damn near half the songs or I've co-written."

"The awards used to mean something. Now it's about likes, and memes... I'm thankful to my fans, I am able to be the best artist I can without having to conform to the ways of my peers. I also need my commission."
