Chris Brown praised for going "beyond" at his community service

R&B sensation Chris Brown completed almost a third of his community service hours at his childhood daycare centre.

The 'Don't Wake Me Up' hitmaker completed 508 hours at the Tappahannock Children's Center, where his mother once served as director, and where he was looked after as a young boy for a 12 year period.

Facility administrator Ida Minter praised his efforts and enthused that he was a fantastic volunteer:

"I think Chris always goes beyond because he always wants to give back to where he grew up. And this was a part of his home because his mum worked here full-time. If you've ever been involved in stripping and waxing (floors), it's hard. It's a lot of work."
