Chris Brown's mother defends singer's "terrorist" Halloween costume

Chris Brown's controversial Halloween costume has been defended by his mother.

The R&B singer wore an outfit that appeared to represent an Islamic terrorist, wearing robes, a turban, a long beard and a fake gun.

Brown posted an image on his Instagram account before heading out to party of himself and a group of friends in matching attire, adding: "Ain't nobody F*cking wit my clique!!!"

It soon attracted criticism from Twitter, with users condemning his costume choice.

However, his mum Joyce Hawkins took to her own Twitter account to call the dress nothing more than a bit of "fun". She said:

"Halloween is for fun, nothing more than just fun. Get a life please...So does this mean when we dress our kids as Satan we glorifying him or (is) it just out of fun?...Keep smiling angel."
