Coldplay confirm London date as part of small world tour

Coldplay have announced plans to play six shows across the world in promotion of their upcoming new album.

The band are due to release their new record 'Ghost Stories' on May 19 and they have today (April 17) confirmed a series of concerts in the weeks surrounding its release.

They will kick things off in Cologne, Germany on April 25 before playing New York, Los Angeles and Paris.

Coldplay will then hit Tokyo before playing London's Royal Albert Hall on July 1.

Tickets for the Germany show will go on sale from Saturday (April 19) whilst news of tickets for the other dates will be sent to subscribers to the Coldplay mailing list.

The full tour meanwhile is as follows:

  • April 25 - E-Werk, Cologne, Germany
  • May 5 - Beacon Theatre, New York, USA
  • May 19 - Royce Hall, Los Angeles, USA
  • May 28 - Casino de Paris, Paris, France
  • June 12 - Dome City Hall, Tokyo, Japan
  • July 1 - Royal Albert Hall, London, UK
