Coldplay have announced a second tour date at London's Royal Albert Hall.

The British band were originally scheduled to play one show at the iconic venue on July 1 in promotion of their new album 'Ghost Stories'.

After the gig sold out in minutes today (June 6), the group added a second date at the venue on July 2.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale this afternoon at 4pm UK time.

Coldplay are also due to perform at the Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan on June 12.

'Ghost Stories' was released in May and it reached No.1 in both the band's native UK and the US.
