Coldplay's new album set to feature Barack Obama

US President Barack Obama is to make a cameo on Coldplay's new album.

The British group are unleashing their latest effort 'A Head Full Of Dreams' on December 4.

A number of big names have already been confirmed to appear, such as Beyoncé and Chris Martin's ex-wife Gwenyth Paltrow.

Speaking to The Sun, Martin said that Obama singing at a ceremony for Reverend Clementa C. Pickney - one of the victims of the Charleston church shooting - will be sampled on the record.

He revealed: "We have a tiny clip of the president singing 'Amazing Grace' at that church.

"Because of the historical significance of what he did and also that song being about, 'I'm lost but now I'm found'."

Coldplay meanwhile recently announced four UK stadium dates that will take place in June.
