Coldplay changing concert wristbands because of Taylor Swift

'Fix You' hitmakers Coldplay are planning on updating their colour-changing concert wristbands because Taylor Swift recently introduced a similar live product called Swiftbands.

The band launched their own wristbands for their 2011 Mylo Xyloto Tour and they would light up and change colour in time with the music.

Chris Martin told the Sydney Daily Telegraph that because Swift's bands are so similar they now need to change theirs so it doesn't look like they're copying:

"The Swiftbands? Yeah I saw she was using them, that's cool. It's been amazing to watch her go (succeed). But it has meant we have had to update our wristbands, so we're coming up with this new thing... We have to adapt them, make a mark 2, otherwise we're copying Taylor."

Coldplay, meanwhile, will kick off their A Head Full of Dreams tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina in March before bringing the live show over to England.
