Coldplay to perform with youth orchestra at Super BowlColdplay will line up alongside an orchestra at their upcoming Super Bowl half-time performance. The English band will perform at the massive event on February 7 at Santa Clara, California. The L.A. Philharmonic Orchestra announced this week that their conductor Gustavo Dudamel will appear at the gig. He will bring with him student musicians from Youth Orchestra L.A.. President of the L.A. Philharmonic Deborah Borda said she is "delighted" that the students will be receiving this kind of recognition. She added: "I think it will benefit them incredibly - the question of music education in our social and musical structure...it's a touchdown." The two acts are expected to run through their new single 'Hymn for the Weekend'. Last year's Super Bowl attracted a record 118.5 million viewers, with Katy Perry performing.
