It has been revealed that Coldplay will put money into a British movie that is set to star Ray Winstone, called 'Ashes'. 

The Telegraph has reported that a close friend of the band's, named Mat Whitecross, will be directing the film and is acting as their connection to that industry. No further details have been confirmed, but Mat Whitecross has a history with the 'Viva La Vida' foursome and most recently directed the video for their latest single, 'Christmas Lights'.
