Coldplay's 'Mylo Xyloto' debuts at No.1

Coldplay's 'Mylo Xyloto' has debuted at No.1 on the UK albums chart this afternoon, October 25. 

The band are on course to have the fastest selling record of 2011 after it racked "up sales of over 122,000 in its first three days" of release and it has knocked Noel Gallagher's 'High Flying Birds' down a place to No.2.

Michael Bublé has made a notable appearance at No.3 with his new offering, 'Christmas', and there are 2 other Top Ten new entries this week from Kelly Clarkson's 'Stronger' at No.4 and Tom Waits' 'Bad As Me' at No.7. 

Meanwhile, metal heroes Machine Head have stormed into the charts at No.24 with their brand new album, 'Unto The Locust', which is their first in over three years.
