Coldplay announce new single and tease video for it

Brit-rockers Coldplay have teased a brand new music video by releasing a 30-second clip onto YouTube for fans to preview.

The band confirmed that their next single to be taken from their latest album 'Mylo Xyloto' will be 'Hurts Like Heaven' and they tweeted about the exciting news earlier this afternoon (October 5):

"The next single from Mylo Xyloto will be Hurts Like Heaven. Full video coming on Monday - watch the trailer now..."

The full video will drop on October 8 and the preview that has been unveiled is fully animated with a futuristic-looking twist. It also appears to be somewhat conceptual as there are several captions that indicate characters' names, such as Major Minus.

Coldplay also told their followers that they've played a staggering 101 concerts so far on their 'Mylo Xyloto' tour and admitted that Rihanna's new single, 'Diamonds', is fast becoming one of their new favourite songs.
