Dappy begs fans to leave teenage accusers alone on Twitter

N-Dubz star Dappy has called for his Twitter followers to stop sending abuse to the two 19-year-old girls that have accused him of assault.

The 'No Regrets' hitmaker was recently found guilty of affray and assault following a brawl at a petrol station last year and could now face up to three years behind bars.

Serena Burton and Grace Cochran gave evidence against him in court after saying he spat at them, but he has since been cleared of these charges. Writing on his Twitter page last night (January 22), Dappy asked his fans to leave the girls alone and to stop sending them nasty messages:

"Guys, the girls have had their 15 minutes. Nuthin to be gained by sending hate to them. Just ignore and let's move on... #Daybreak."

Serena Burton said: "We have had some horrific messages sent to us."

The singer will be prosecuted next month, on February 13.
