UK SINGER SONGWRITER EMILY BROWNE

RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM

London, UK, September 25th 2015; UK singer songwriter Emily Browne releases her anticipated eponymous debut album this week available through iTunes.

Emily has spent the past few months putting the finishing touches to the album at the iconic Abbey Road studios in London.

The album features world class musician Eddie Myer (Turin Brakes) who put his well-known bass lines onto the album and was mixed by Steve Orchard, who has worked with Paul McCartney, Damien Rice and Bjork. Frank Arkwight (Turin Brakes/Gomez) then put his finishing touches to the record and mastered the album at Abbey Road.

Emily Browne’s musical journey began as a school-age clarinetist and drummer, and it is only in recent years that she has found her true calling as a guitarist and singer/songwriter. Indeed, it was not until 2009 that she first stepped out into the gigging scene of her native Warwickshire “We were keen to get the live band feel on this album” says Emily, who went onto say “very much in the Glyn Johns mid 70s - Joan Armatrading tradition with little modern day post production to ruin it! One for the purist if you like and a very honest version of what you hear when you see us live

Even the bookmakers are now taking note with Ladbrooks giving Emily Browne 100/1 chance of winning this year’s prestigious Mercury Music Prize.

Emily Browne releases her eponymous debut album is OUT NOW.
